"The KCVG Air Hub is one of a kind," said Rump, Amazon, Senior Operations Manager at Amazon. "It is a massive campus; which, offers many great features such as the hot kitchen, the garage parking, and the observation window. it brings a lot of fun and opportunities to create and innovate solutions in such a young org."

According to Rump, Amazon's operations are driven by innovation, safety, and efficiency. With over a decade of experience that began as a Tier 1 associate, she now oversees large-scale logistics. Central to her role is fostering a safe and positive workplace for associates. "My role as a Senior Operations Manager is to create and maintain the safety of our team and cultivate a culture that creates positive experiences and prioritizes development," she said.

The Amazon Air Hub at Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky Airport is an 800,000 square-foot facility supporting a growing air cargo network. It is strategically located to connect with customers nationwide. According to About Amazon, employees at the KCVG Air Hub benefit from "industry-leading" pay and benefits along with resources like Career Choice, which aids employees in pursuing opportunities outside the company if desired. "Our employees are the heart and soul of this operation," said Sarah Rhoads, Amazon VP Global Workplace Health & Safety.

Rump described the KCVG Air Hub as a "massive campus," featuring three operational floors, a ramp, and a Ground Support Equipment building. She noted that air operations present new challenges daily due to numerous variables, making standard labor planning difficult. The hub's unique features such as observation windows and an on-site hot kitchen foster innovation and team building. This environment has helped Rump develop resilience and adaptability.

Amazon's focus on internal growth is reflected in Rump’s career path. Starting as a Tier 1 associate in 2014 while working towards an associate degree, she advanced by utilizing technical knowledge, leadership principles, and mentorship opportunities. Stretch assignments and involvement in affinity groups like Glamazon were instrumental in her development. "My leaders around me always appreciated my hard work," Rump said.
