Graceland Ross, a 6th-grade student at Columbia Middle School (CMS), won 1st place in the 6th Grade Category of the City of Florence’s Halloween Art Contest. Graceland’s artwork, titled “The Spooky Pumpkin Patch,” was selected from over 200 entries submitted by local students.
Graceland was officially recognized for her achievement during a special visit from Florence Mayor, Steve Aubuchon, at CMS. The mayor congratulated her in front of her peers and presented her with a certificate of recognition for her outstanding creativity.
The annual Halloween Art Contest is a highly anticipated event in Florence that allows young artists to showcase their talents and celebrate the spirit of the season. Graceland’s winning piece impressed judges with its spooky charm and artistic detail, earning her top honors in her grade category.
