Tony Award-winning actress Ruthie Ann Miles is set to be the featured guest artist at The Tabernacle Choir's Christmas concerts in Salt Lake City. The performances are scheduled for December 19, 20, and 21, 2024, at the Conference Center. A narrator for the event will be announced later.

Mack Wilberg, music director of the Choir, and Ryan Murphy, associate music director, will oversee the performances. "Ruthie Ann Miles is acclaimed for her vocal talents paired with unforgettable performances," said Wilberg. "We are delighted to have her perform with the Choir and Orchestra to bring joy into the hearts of our audiences as we celebrate the Savior’s birth."

Miles is currently performing on Broadway in “McNeal” at Lincoln Center Theater. She has received acclaim for roles such as Margaret Johnson in “The Light in the Piazza” and a Tony nomination in 2023 for her role as the beggar woman in “Sweeney Todd.”

Born and raised in Hawaii, Miles pursued a career in music from an early age and holds a master's degree in vocal performance from New York University Steinhardt. Her notable achievements include a Tony Award for her Broadway debut in “The King And I,” along with Grammy and Olivier nominations. Her television work includes roles in “All Rise” and “The Americans,” as well as voicing Mother in Netflix’s “Over the Moon.”

Tickets for this year's concert are complimentary but required through a random selection process limited to four tickets per household. Registration is open from October 15 to November 1 on the Tabernacle Choir's website.

A standby line will form before each concert at Temple Square's Tabernacle. Tickets are not needed for the "Music and the Spoken Word" broadcast on December 22 where Miles will perform.

Last year’s concert featuring Michael Maliakel and Lesley Nichol will air on PBS on December 17 and December 24, also available on BYUtv from December 21-25.

The Tabernacle Choir consists of volunteers who produce inspiring music alongside their accompanying orchestra and handbell choir. For further details, visit their official website.
