All members and the public are invited to watch a live announcement from The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints on Tuesday, October 14, 2025, at 1 p.m. Mountain Daylight Time. The event will be broadcast from Temple Square in Salt Lake City and will focus on the reorganization of a new First Presidency.

According to the Church, "Join us to hear messages from special witnesses of Jesus Christ and learn about the reorganization of a new First Presidency of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. This live announcement will be made from Temple Square in Salt Lake City and will be available to the public as it unfolds."

The First Presidency is the highest governing body of the Church and consists of the President, who is regarded as a prophet, and two Apostles serving as counselors. The announcement will include messages from Church leaders about this leadership change.

The broadcast will be available live on ChurchofJesusChrist.org, YouTube, and the Church’s social media channels. It will be accessible in ten languages: Chinese, English, French, German, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Portuguese, Russian, and Spanish. Recordings of the announcement will also be made available for later viewing.

"Jesus Christ leads His Church through a prophet, who serves as the President of the Church, and two Apostles who are called to be the prophet’s counselors, forming the First Presidency."
