President Russell M. Nelson, leader of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, died on September 27, 2025, at the age of 101. He was recognized as the world’s oldest leader of a global faith organization.

A series of public events has been organized to honor his life and leadership. On October 1, a tribute broadcast titled “A Tribute to Russell M. Nelson” was made available in multiple languages including Chinese Traditional, Cantonese, French, German, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Mandarin, Portuguese, Russian, Spanish, and American Sign Language.

The public is invited to attend a viewing on Monday, October 6. The event will take place from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. at the Conference Center in Salt Lake City.

Funeral services are scheduled for Tuesday, October 7 at noon MDT in the Conference Center on Temple Square. The funeral is open to the public for those ages eight and older; tickets are required for entry. Standby seating will be managed outside the Tabernacle beginning 90 minutes before the service starts. The funeral will be broadcast in numerous languages such as American Sign Language (ASL), Armenian, Albanian, British Sign Language (BSL), Cambodian, Cantonese, Cebuano, Chinese (Traditional), Czech, Danish, Dutch, English, Estonian, Finnish, French, German, Greek, Hungarian, Indonesian, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Latvian, Lithuanian, Mandarin Chinese (Simplified), Mongolian Norwegian Portuguese (Brazil), Portuguese (Portugal), Romanian Russian Samoan Spanish Swedish Tagalog Tahitian Thai Tongan Ukrainian.
