The First Presidency of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints has announced the schedule for the open house and dedication of the Alabang Philippines Temple. According to the announcement, a media day is set for November 17, 2025. Invited guests will have opportunities to tour the temple from November 18 through November 20, 2025. The public open house will run from November 21 to December 13, 2025, except on Sundays.
Elder David A. Bednar of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles will preside over the dedication ceremony on January 18, 2026. The dedicatory session will be broadcast to all congregations within the Alabang Philippines Temple district.
The Alabang Philippines Temple was first announced by then-Church President Thomas S. Monson during the April 2017 general conference. Once dedicated, it will become the fourth operating temple in the Philippines and the second in Metro Manila. Other temples currently serving members are located in Cebu City, Manila, and Urdaneta. Additional temples are either announced or under construction in Bacolod, Cagayan de Oro, Davao, Iloilo, Laoag, Naga, San Jose del Monte, Santiago, Tacloban City and Tuguegarao City.
There are now more than 880,000 members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints across over 1,300 local congregations in the Philippines. Since missionary work began officially in the country in 1961, membership growth has been among the fastest worldwide.
“Latter-day Saints worship in temples for several reasons: to feel God’s love and peace, to learn more about God’s plan for His children and the gospel of Jesus Christ, to make promises with God and with one’s husband or wife, and to unite families in this life and the next through sacred ordinances,” according to church officials.
