The Tabernacle Choir at Temple Square has announced that Raúl Lavié, Maggie Cullen, Dos Más Uno, and Soledad Pastorutti will join them for a series of concerts in Buenos Aires, Argentina. The performances are scheduled for August 19, 22, and 23, 2025. Alex Melecio, who has previously performed with the Choir during its world tour, will also participate.

The concert on August 23 will be available via livestream on the Choir’s YouTube page. It will also be broadcast to local celebrations for Spanish-speaking communities across Latin America and the Caribbean.

These concerts are part of a continent-wide commemoration marking the centennial of South America’s dedication for the establishment of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. This milestone dates back to an event held in Buenos Aires on December 25, 1925.

“The Choir has been inspired by the faith of the South American members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, and we are eager to celebrate this important anniversary with them,” said Choir president Michael O. Leavitt.

This visit marks the fifth stop on the Choir’s “Songs of Hope” world tour. Previous destinations have included Mexico City; Manila; Sunrise and Atlanta in the United States; and Lima. After Argentina, the Choir plans to travel to Brazil in February 2026.

Guest artist Raúl Lavié is recognized as one of Argentina’s leading tango singers and actors with a career spanning over sixty years in entertainment. Soledad Pastorutti is known as “La Sole” and is one of Argentina’s prominent singer-songwriters with nearly three decades in music and several awards to her name.

Maggie Cullen represents a new generation in Argentine folk music. She has won Gardel Awards for her work and continues to perform at significant festivals such as Cosquín. Dos Más Uno is an Argentine trio formed by Marcelo Dellamea, Hugo Dellamea, and Ariel Sánchez that specializes in Latin American popular music and has appeared extensively both domestically and internationally.

Alex Melecio is a singer-songwriter from Los Mochis, Sinaloa, Mexico who has performed throughout Latin America and previously shared the stage with Grammy-winner Adassa as part of a Tabernacle Choir concert at Auditorio Nacional in Mexico City.
