The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints has announced that Elder Patrick Kearon of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles and his wife, Jennifer, will participate in the September 2025 Friend to Friend broadcast for children. The event is hosted by the Primary General Presidency and is titled “Sharing Jesus’ Love Through Service.”
The broadcast will highlight how children from various locations, including the Philippines, New Zealand, Texas, Mexico, and Alabama, have followed Jesus Christ through acts of service.
In January, the Primary General Presidency encouraged all Primaries worldwide to organize an annual service project. In a statement from the presidency: “We hope this worldwide effort will help children realize they are an important part of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and can contribute in meaningful ways. As the children serve, they will grow in their love for the Savior and feel joy as they share His love with others.”
The 20-minute recorded program may be used at home or during Primary meetings to teach children about gospel principles. It will also feature music and a visit from Louie the Toucan.
The broadcast becomes available on Saturday, September 6 at 10 a.m. Mountain Daylight Time through several platforms such as Gospel for Kids YouTube (English), El Evangelio para niños YouTube (Spanish), Evangelho para Crianças YouTube (Portuguese), L’Evangile pour les enfants YouTube (French), Gospel Stream app in multiple languages across devices like Apple TV and Roku, ChurchofJesusChrist.org in numerous languages including American Sign Language and Mandarin, as well as BYUtv.
Both the full broadcast and its segments will remain accessible after September 6 to support teaching at home or church settings. Children can view it anytime on Gospel for Kids YouTube or through Gospel Library within Primary groups or individually at home.
A craft activity is included in this Friend to Friend event. Suggested supplies include paper, scissors, crayons or markers, and tape or glue.
