Hebron - Mary Carol Story, 69, passed away on June 29, 2025, surrounded by loved ones. Known for her vibrant life, Mary Carol drove a school bus for over 20 years, forming lasting friendships. She later earned her Bachelor’s degree and served as a Transportation Coordinator until retiring. Embracing her love for travel, she became a travel agent, marrying her passions for adventure and photography. Her keen eye for beauty extended from photography to her vibrant garden. Mary Carol was loved for her humor, culinary skills, and even enjoyed pheasant hunting.

Survived by her husband of 19 years, Dennie Story; children Jeremy L. (Shannon) Bedel, Andrea E. (Kyle) Smith; stepchildren Stephen Douglas Story, Mindy Linnemann; grandchildren, step-grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Also survived by siblings Jane (Wayne) Napier, Norb (Mary) Steuber, Nancy (Jeff) Peden, Marjie (Lee) Stauber.

Preceded in death by her parents Carolyn J. and Robert L. Steuber, and brother Robert L. Steuber Jr.

Visitation on Tuesday, July 8, 2025, from 4pm to 6pm at Linnemann Funeral Homes, Burlington, with services at 6pm, followed by a reception.

Mary Carol will be remembered for her warmth, humor, and adventurous spirit that touched the lives of all who knew her.
