Prophet and President Russell M. Nelson of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is set to dedicate the Syracuse Utah Temple on June 8, 2025. He will be joined by Elder Quentin L. Cook from the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles for the ceremony.

The dedication will occur at 4 p.m. MDT and will be broadcast to local meetinghouses within the temple district. A rebroadcast is scheduled for 7 p.m. MDT on the same day.

Before this event, a three-week open house ended on May 31, 2025, offering public tours of the new temple.

President Nelson announced plans for the Syracuse Temple during the April 2020 general conference. Since assuming leadership in 2018, he has announced a total of 200 temples, increasing the overall number to 382 — more than half of all existing temples in the Church. This expansion reflects the Church's emphasis on Jesus Christ and sacred covenants. President Nelson previously stated, “Because Jesus Christ is at the center of everything we do in the temple, as you think more about the temple you will be thinking more about Him.” Last October marked another milestone when he dedicated their faith’s 200th operating temple.

Construction began on June 12, 2021, for this three-story building that spans approximately 90,000 square feet and sits on a 12-acre site located at 1098 South 2500 West in Syracuse, Utah. Once dedicated by President Nelson, it will become Utah's 22nd operational temple where over two million Latter-day Saints reside.
