Elder Neil L. Andersen of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles and Young Men General President Steven J. Lund from The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints are set to participate in a global broadcast on July 13, 2025. This event will honor the restoration of the Aaronic Priesthood and mark the 150th anniversary of the Young Men organization.
The broadcast will feature Elder Andersen and President Lund walking through Harmony, Pennsylvania, where John the Baptist visited Joseph Smith and Oliver Cowdery, leading to their baptisms in the Susquehanna River. "From this humble beginning, millions across the earth now act in the name of Jesus Christ, blessing families, individuals and the entire Church," stated church representatives.
Local leaders have been encouraged to gather young men as wards or stakes for this commemorative event. The pre-recorded broadcast will be available for download from July 2, 2025, via Gospel Library and Broadcasts.ChurchofJesusChrist.org to assist leaders in preparation. While Sunday, July 13 is suggested for participation, local leadership may choose an alternative date if needed.
The program will begin with a video featuring Elder Andersen and President Lund. Following this segment, local leaders are advised to conduct a “reflect and review” exercise allowing young men to contemplate their thoughts and insights collectively.
The broadcast will be accessible in American Sign Language (ASL), Chinese (Mandarin), Dutch, English, French, German, Italian, Samoan, Spanish, and Tongan languages with closed captioning offered in select languages.
