The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints has made a significant contribution to the El Alto municipal government in Bolivia. On April 22, the church donated school furniture as part of its initiative named “For an Education with a Better Environment.” The donation includes 500 school desks, 500 chairs, and 50 tables.

José Luis Escalera Pacheco, second counselor of the Bolivia La Paz El Alto Mission, presented the items. Cristian Tancara Irusta accepted them on behalf of Mayor Mónica Eva Copa Murga.

“This donation will help ensure that our students, especially in District Seven, have the essential furniture needed for a conducive learning environment,” Tancara stated. “It is a great contribution to our educational system.”

Municipal officials have expressed gratitude for this support, which aligns with their ongoing efforts to improve educational infrastructure throughout El Alto.

Escalera commented on the church's involvement by saying, “We are pleased to support the educational development of El Alto. Our hope is that this contribution helps foster better learning conditions for the students.”
