Ryle High School recently hosted the 10th annual Gross Motor Skills Track and Field Day, specifically designed for medically complex students. The event took place on the Ryle Football field, emphasizing recreational games and track activities aimed at enhancing cardiovascular endurance, flexibility, balance, and coordination.
The gathering saw participation from over 700 individuals, including medically complex students, student volunteers, and staff. Participants enjoyed pizza for lunch along with healthy snacks and water throughout the day. In addition to Ryle High School's involvement, three other Northern Kentucky school districts participated: Walton-Verona, Kenton County, and Campbell County.
Each student was awarded a medal for their participation. Volunteer students from various high schools wore gray shirts as they assisted their "buddies" in orange shirts. Teachers and other staff members also donned gray shirts to support the event.
