Elder Quentin L. Cook from the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles concluded the 2025 BYU Women's Conference held at Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah, on May 2, 2025. Elder Cook emphasized the importance of women who “walk with Jesus Christ" and remain “in tune with the music of faith."

He reminded attendees to maintain a positive outlook and emphasized the importance of faith. “Our doctrine is clear; we are to be positive and of good cheer. We emphasize our faith, not our fears,” he noted. Elder Cook praised women for their resilience and faith. He stated, "[Latter-day Saint] women are incredible" due to their “commitment not only to have faith in Jesus Christ but also to walk with Him.”

Elder Cook shared personal anecdotes, highlighting the impact of faithful women in his life, including his mother and wife, Mary. He spoke of their influence and their commitment to living by faith.

He expressed the importance of hearts that are “in tune with the music of faith,” which involves loving the Lord and living Christlike lives. Elder Cook warned of hearts that are hardened, characterized by pride and focus on worldly wisdom, and urged all church members to strengthen their faith and commitment to Jesus Christ.

Elder Cook encouraged incorporating the Book of Mormon into lifelong study, describing it as containing “the fullness of the Gospel of Jesus Christ.” He emphasized that testimonies should be rooted in faith rather than external proofs and reiterated the importance of scripture study for spiritual development.

In closing, Elder Cook reflected on the scriptural guidance that faith and keeping commandments are the essential tests of mortality.
