The "Book of Mormon Experience," after successful runs in North America and Europe, has made its South American debut at the 49th Buenos Aires International Book Fair. The exhibit began on April 24, 2025, and runs until May 12, 2025. The Book Fair, hosted at La Rural in Palermo, Buenos Aires, had over 1.1 million visitors in 2024.
The exhibit proposes an opportunity for people to engage with the central teachings of the Book of Mormon, focusing on Jesus Christ and His teachings. Participants have the chance to read a random excerpt from the Book and share their immediate reflections. These comments, along with portraits of the participants, will contribute to a global mural previously featured at international fairs such as Germany's Frankfurt Book Fair.
The booth offers an immersive experience where visitors can delve into the meaning of the page they have read in a setting conducive to emotional and spiritual contemplation. Additionally, special activities are available to make the experience enjoyable for young children and their parents.
Carlos Cantero, communication director for the Church in Argentina, explained, “Many people have heard of the Book of Mormon and already have an opinion about it. However, few have actually read it. With this experience, we want to change that — page by page.”
The event remains open to visitors until May 12, 2025.
