On Saturday, April 5, 2025, The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints released an Easter video titled “Greater Love” and announced it as the theme for Easter 2025. Latter-day Saints globally engaged in "Greater Love" initiatives, serving their communities, fostering interfaith connections, and inviting people to attend Church on Easter Sunday, April 20, 2025.
In Guatemala, Church members collaborated with the Bethania Institute in Guatemala City, participating in a local Holy Week tradition by creating colorful street designs known as "carpets" using colored sawdust and stencils. These intricate artworks shared the Church's Easter theme of "Greater Love."
In Paraguay and Uruguay, the Church's youth shared photos of Christ, pamphlets, and their testimonies of Jesus Christ in public spaces. The "Greater Love" campaign's images and videos were displayed publicly across these countries.
“This is my second Easter as a Christian. After coming to know the Savior and joining the Church, being able to share this with others has been a wonderful experience,” stated a young woman in Uruguay.
In Airdrie, Alberta, the Canadian Saints remembered the Savior through a Christ-centered art show and concert. Stake Relief Society president Danelle Richards stated, “The purpose of the event is to feel the spirit of our Savior Jesus Christ … and allow others to express their love of the Savior through their artistic talents.” Over 400 people attended, with artworks ranging from children's pieces to semiprofessional works, including paintings, sculptures, and a quilt recounting an event that strengthened the quilt maker’s faith.
In Peru, the Church participated in a free eye care campaign, distributing eyeglasses to seniors in the Ventanilla district. Elder Oswaldo Soto, an Area Seventy in Peru, remarked, “As a Church, Holy Week — and especially Easter — helps us remember and follow the example of Jesus Christ, who dedicated His life to serving others. On this occasion, with the free distribution of reading glasses to those most in need, we remember the miracle in which Jesus restored sight to the blind.”
