Elder Neil L. Andersen addressed the audience at the Saturday afternoon session of the April 2025 general conference, held on April 5 in Salt Lake City. Elder Andersen, a member of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles, spoke on the topic of nurturing and protecting unborn life. He stated, “Nurturing and protecting life that is yet unborn is not a political position. It is a moral law confirmed by the Lord through His prophets.” He expressed concern about a diminishing love for unborn children, saying, “God cherishes life. … As disciples of Jesus Christ, we cherish life.” Andersen encouraged acts of loving ministering and emphasized the forgiveness available through the Savior’s Atonement for those who repent.

The session was conducted by Elder Ulisses Soares of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles, with Church President Russell M. Nelson participating from home. Elder Dale G. Renlund also spoke, focusing on the importance of living by the teachings of Jesus Christ in preparation for His Second Coming. Renlund emphasized that personal preparation is crucial, stating, “These teachings are crucial because personal preparation to meet Him is central to life’s purpose.”

Elder Dieter F. Uchdorf highlighted the love for God and His children as emblematic of the Church being the Savior’s Church. He extended an invitation to those not yet members to join in rejoicing in the Savior's teachings.

Young Men General President Steven J. Lund discussed the significance of the Aaronic Priesthood and the experience it provides young men. He noted, “ordinances allow [young men] to experience the weight and joy of being on the Lord’s errand preparing them for future priesthood service.”

Elder S. Mark Palmer, of the Presidency of the Seventy, addressed individuals with fragile testimonies, urging them to return to the gospel for renewal. Elder Sandino Román encouraged faith in Christ as a means to build trust and appreciate His blessings.

Elder Hans T. Boom, also a General Authority Seventy, spoke to Latter-day Saint youth about drawing strength from the faith of previous generations. Prayers during the session were offered by Elder Alan T. Phillips and Sister J. Anette Dennis. Music was provided by a choir of youth from Northern Utah, directed by Geoff Anderson, with organ accompaniment by Linda Margetts and Joseph Peeples.
