President Henry B. Eyring, Second Counselor in the First Presidency of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, concluded the Saturday morning session of the 195th Annual General Conference on April 4, 2025. He urged participants to enhance their relationship with Jesus Christ. Eyring encouraged, "Draw near Him by always remembering Him. Seek Him diligently through scripture study. Ask through heartfelt prayer and ponder while waiting for an answer."
Church President Russell M. Nelson participated from his residence. Meanwhile, President Dallin H. Oaks, First Counselor in the First Presidency, presided over the session in the Conference Center. This marks the 25th year of the venue hosting the global event, which is broadcasted in 80 languages. Oaks led the sustaining and release of several church leaders, including 16 new General Authority Seventies and a new Young Men General Presidency.
President Jeffrey R. Holland, the first speaker of the session, focused on children and youth, emphasizing their virtues. Holland, the Acting President of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles, stated, "Is there anything sweeter, more pure or more humble than a child at prayer?" He highlighted the importance of humility as taught by Christ.
Relief Society General President Camille N. Johnson shared stories of biblical women, discussing how faith aids in becoming "whole." She remarked, "Through our faith in Jesus Christ, we can seek to be spiritually whole while we wait and hope for physical and emotional healing."
Elder Ronald A. Rasband spoke about church growth, including temple building and missionary work, while acknowledging those facing faith challenges. He advocated starting with Jesus Christ, stating, "Brothers and sisters, Jesus Christ is the answer. Start with Him."
Elder Quentin L. Cook addressed the parallels between the rescue of handcart pioneers and the benefits of Christ's Atonement in overcoming life's trials. Elder Ricardo P. Gimenez encouraged church members to align their activities with love for the Savior.
The Tabernacle Choir on Temple Square, directed by Mack Wilberg and Ryan Murphy with organists Andrew Unsworth and Richard Elliott, provided music. Prayers were delivered by Elder Kevin S. Hamilton and Elder Jorge F. Zeballos, both General Authority Seventies.
