Referencing John 15:13 from the New Testament, the Church highlights the sacrificial love of Christ where it says, "Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends."

The Church's activities throughout the Easter season include various publications and social media posts by prominent leaders. These activities are scheduled to culminate on Easter, April 20, 2025.

In the days leading to Easter, on March 18, the Church released The First Presidency’s 2025 Easter Message. The content, created by Intellectual Reserve, Inc., emphasizes reflections on Christ's sacrifice and resurrection. President Oaks also shared his personal Easter reflection on February 16, focusing on the themes of sacrifice and resurrection.

Throughout March, several church leaders, including Russell M. Nelson, Dallin H. Oaks, and Henry B. Eyring, actively shared messages via Instagram, reaffirming the Easter theme.
