The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is enhancing its global initiatives to promote earth stewardship, following guidance from the First Presidency to responsibly manage environmental resources. These efforts are detailed in the April 2025 World Report, a semiannual program highlighting the Church's news and activities since the prior general conference.
Presiding Bishop Gérald Caussé emphasized, "This is a topic, caring for the earth, that we have worked on for a long time. And so that’s not new, but there’s a new emphasis." He further noted the hope that these initiatives will "inspire members of the Church and all community members to use the resources of the earth with great care and prudence."
An extended video version of the Church's environmental stewardship efforts will be featured, alongside a shortened version included in the World Report. Additionally, a new online platform now provides detailed information on the Church’s environmental initiatives and suggestions for individual and community involvement.
The April 2025 World Report will be released on Wednesday, April 2, 2025, at 9 a.m. Mountain Daylight Time on the Newsroom in 11 languages. It will also be accessible on the Church Newsroom YouTube channel, via the Church satellite system during the general conference weekend and will air on BYUtv and KSL-TV.
The report includes a segment featuring President Russell M. Nelson's announcement regarding the Salt Lake Temple open house celebration, the 200th temple dedication, and covers disaster relief efforts, global ministries, and other impactful stories from across the globe.
