The First Presidency of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints has issued their 2025 Easter message. The message, released by President Russell M. Nelson, President Dallin H. Oaks, and President Henry B. Eyring, highlights the significance of the Resurrection of Jesus Christ.
"During this joyful Easter season, we join with faithful followers of the Savior in celebrating the Resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ," they stated. "The Resurrection is a gift to all of Heavenly Father’s children who have ever lived on this earth."
They emphasized that Jesus Christ provides rest to those who are burdened: "We testify that Jesus Christ gives rest to those who are 'heavy laden' (Matthew 11:28). He knows 'how to succor his people according to their infirmities' (Alma 7:12) because He took upon Himself our pains and sins."
The leaders referenced scripture stating, “He hath borne our griefs, and carried our sorrows ... and with his stripes we are healed” (Isaiah 53:4-5). They further mentioned that faith in Him can lead to eternal life: "Those who exercise faith in Him, keep His commandments, and receive the saving and exalting ordinances 'shall have hope through the atonement of Christ and the power of his resurrection, to be raised unto life eternal' (Moroni 7:41)."
An invitation was extended for all individuals to come unto Jesus for a more abundant life: "We invite all to come unto Jesus 'that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly' (John 10:10)." They added that making covenants with Him enriches lives both now and eternally.
In closing, they expressed wishes for hope, healing, and happiness during this Easter season as people draw nearer to the Savior.
