RootsTech 2025 has announced its first four keynote speakers for the upcoming family discovery event scheduled for March 6-8, 2025. The speakers include Ndaba Mandela, grandson of Nelson Mandela; Olympic and Paralympic gold medalists Tara Davis-Woodhall and Hunter Woodhall; and artist Dana Tanamachi.
Ndaba Mandela, known for his work as a speaker, author, and social activist, will deliver a virtual keynote address. Mandela's life was greatly influenced by his grandfather, Nelson Mandela. "While living with his grandfather, Ndaba was taught many lessons that inspired him to become a happy and effective global citizen," states FamilySearch.
Artist Dana Tanamachi is also set to speak at the event. Her work includes notable projects such as a mural at Starbucks in New York City's Empire State Building and covers for O Magazine and Time Magazine. She will share her family story on Friday, March 7.
Olympic gold medalist Tara Davis-Woodhall and her husband Hunter Woodhall, a Paralympic gold medalist, are among the speakers as well. They met at a high school track meet in Pocatello, Idaho in 2017 and have since become prominent figures in athletics. Their joint presentation is scheduled for Saturday, March 8.
