The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints has announced the release of American Sign Language (ASL) videos for the Doctrine and Covenants and Pearl of Great Price. These resources are now accessible in the Gospel Library, enhancing the availability of religious texts for ASL users.

This initiative aligns with a revelation given to Joseph Smith that "every man shall hear the fulness of the gospel in his own tongue, and in his own language" (Doctrine and Covenants 90:11). The First Presidency emphasized this by stating, “As members prayerfully learn and teach from the scriptures, their testimonies will grow, and they will receive greater direction in their daily lives.”

In a letter dated December 5, 2024, addressed to Church leaders, the First Presidency encouraged members to integrate these scriptures into personal study routines as well as family study sessions and church meetings. The letter highlighted that such engagement would foster spiritual growth among members.

For 2025, Latter-day Saints are set to focus on studying the Doctrine and Covenants both at home and during church services as part of their annual curriculum. This follows recent efforts to make other scriptural content more accessible; for instance, Book of Mormon Videos have been made available in ASL along with descriptive audio.

Further resources provided by the Church include study aids, Scripture Stories, and Bible Videos available through both the Gospel Library app and YouTube. Notably, since June 2023, Bible Videos have been offered in ASL along with audio description versions via Media Library.
