General conferences of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints occur biannually. The October 2024 conference took place on October 5-6 and was broadcast live from Temple Square in Salt Lake City. This event included five sessions, which were made available for viewing through various platforms.

During the conference, several key announcements were made. "The Prophet Announces 17 New Temples at the October 2024 General Conference" was one significant declaration. Additionally, "Six New Area Seventies Called at the Leadership Session" highlighted leadership changes within the church.

For those unable to attend in person or watch live, all sessions are accessible post-broadcast in text, audio, and video formats across multiple channels in over 70 languages. These include the Gospel Library, Media Library, and the General Conference YouTube channel among others.

Attendance at the Salt Lake City sessions required electronic tickets distributed through local ward or branch leaders in North America. For international attendees, ticket requests could be submitted by stake or district presidents.

The conference also provided guidelines for accessing standby seating and using conference tickets as UTA passes for travel to and from the event.
