At the conclusion of the October 2024 general conference, President Russell M. Nelson urged Latter-day Saints to "rededicate your lives to Jesus Christ" and prepare for His Second Coming through regular temple attendance. He promised, "Every sincere seeker of Jesus Christ will find Him in the temple," highlighting the importance of temples in spiritual preparation.
President Nelson announced 17 new temple locations and shared that renovations on the Salt Lake Temple and Temple Square would be completed by 2026. Elder D. Todd Christofferson conducted the session at a near-capacity Conference Center with almost 100,000 attendees.
Elder Dieter F. Uchtdorf emphasized personal faith rooted in experience and commitment to Jesus Christ, independent of traditions or external influences. Elder Ronald A. Rasband stressed sustaining President Nelson's counsel to counter global fear and darkness through personal revelation.
Elder Quentin L. Cook highlighted scriptures' role in building faith alongside teachings from living prophets, offering doctrinal direction and comfort.
Additional speakers included Elders Takashi Wada, Rubén V. Alliaud, I. Raymond Egbo, Ahmad S. Corbitt, and Sister Tamara W. Runia provided prayers.
Music was provided by The Tabernacle Choir at Temple Square under directors Mack Wilberg and Ryan Murphy with organists Brian Mathias and Andrew Unsworth.
